Multifunctional space system relay (MCR) Luch (operator - JSC "Satellite system "Gonets") has once again successfully completed the complex task of liaison support manned launch from Baikonur cosmodrome.
Wednesday, October 19 at 11:05 Moscow time from pad 31 of the cosmodrome to the International space station (ISS) was successfully launched the carrier rocket "Soyuz-FG" with transport manned spacecraft "Soyuz MS-02" with a crew of three cosmonauts on Board.
During startup and during the first one and a half hours after the start, at the observation point (PL. 31) by receiving and transmitting station ES-01 MKSR "Luch" was organized Wi-Fi Internet access. They could use the persons present at the launch, as well as media representatives. Because of this, the journalists were given an opportunity to promptly send a written and filmed during the launch of the materials in their offices. Transmitting and receiving station ES-02, joined with the Internet and closing circuit relay, located in the city of Khabarovsk.
After the first one and a half hours of flight relay channel MKSR "Luch" was redirected to "Soyuz MS-02" to perform other important tasks – the transmission of telemetry and diagnostic information from a spacecraft. This task was also successfully performed using the subscriber equipment relay unified command and telemetry system (ECTS TCA), installed on Board of the "Union" and relay channels MKSR "Luch", which to this end have been involved spacecraft "Luch-5B" (16 deg. z.d.) and "Luch-5V" (95 deg. V. D.). Eat the telemetry data from the transport ship will be done until it docks with the ISS.
Thus, in providing a held start relay channels MKSR "Luch" was successfully used both on the ground and in space, which is a unique combination and confirms the universality and multifunctionality of the system "Luch".
Start TPK "Soyuz MS-02"
Multifunctional space system relaying "Luch" is designed to solve problems of information security of objects of rocket and space technology (RCT), socio-economic and, if necessary, for special purposes. With this purpose MXR is designed to solve tasks of relaying information, monitoring and control of low-orbit spacecraft, manned space complexes, including the Russian segment of the International space station (ISS RS), monitoring of launches of launch vehicles, objects RKT.
Besides the main task MXR provides:
- Relaying information from platforms of data collection and monitoring of Roshydromet;
- Relay of signals from distress beacons (EPIRBs) in the data centres of the international satellite system for search and rescue COSPAS – SARSAT;
- The retransmission of the signals of the system of differential correction and monitoring (sdcm) GLONASS from ground-based bookmarks, and control of consumers;
- Conducting of videoconferences and teleconferences between the peripheral mobile stations and telecentres, as well as access to the Internet.
